The cut is suitable for babies wearing disposable diapers (it is also suitable for unwrapped babies, babies growing up with the diaperless method or skinny babies with cloth diapers).
The cut is designed to be looser around the bum and thighs - so the nappy fits comfortably underneath and the sweatpants don't bunch up. Around the calves and ankles, the sweatpants are narrower so that kicking babies don't roll up as much. There is a narrow and soft (gallon) elastic waistband.
The pattern for the simple round seated baby sweatpants is made in a professional pattern construction program and is produced in sizes 50 - 86 (see size chart below).
